What? No 1943?
The Looney Tunes Platinum Collection volume 1 is coming out on BluRay, and it seems like it will have no 1943 on it based on the currently released titles. Because hey, why would you want that?
It comes in the regular ugly cover version which comes with the nice looking (on the inside pages that are shown) Jerry Beck related book and the just as ugly covered "ultimate collector's edition" filled with the kind of hateful crap for the crowd that gives us the bad cover art; your extra $20 gets you or the cheesy bastard you're buying it as a gift for one of those crappy litho cels, a tiny tin sign and a shot glass. Thank you, WB, for letting us opt out, instead of having a "Why is the Simpsons in this giant plastic head? what do you mean I can't buy it without it?" debacle.

For the first batch on BD, the only cartoon I can think of from 1943 to be even considered is "Yankee Doodle Daffy" or perhaps a Bugs Bunny cartoon. All things considered, it's still going to be a very solid collection of cartoons.
