Synopsis: Daffy protects junkpile for liberty.
Comments: It seems wrong to put a '43 on a disc called "Early Daze". Big gopy letters. Weird Friz at MGM look (tho this is not a Friz cartoon). Almost a Columbia look. Swimsuit. Fade from horse's ass to Hitler. Silhouette into mic. Scrap pile looks a bit like statue of liberty. Many abnormal Daffy teeth. Looking for a can of spinach, which white line ancestors decry as wussy. Then a Superman reference. Greg Ford claims Tashlin was intentionally lifting Leni Riefenstahl setups, but I'm not sold on that. The style exists in more than her work, and beyond Nazi contexts.

The imagery of Daffy in the Superman suit having bullets deflected off of him is some of the most badass work WB ever did.
